RSS needs to be reformed on timely basis: Executive Chairperson Jha

Janakpurdham, May 28 : Rastriya Samachar Samiti (RSS) Executive Chairperson Dharmendra Jha has emphasized that the RSS should be reformed and taken forward in a timely manner as per the essence of the federal democratic republic. At a programme organized in the RSS Madhesh Province office in Janakpurdham on Sunday, Chairperson Jha said that the country’s only state-owned news agency was trying to transform it as per the State that has adopted the federal form of governance and coordination efforts were being with the local and provincial government accordingly. Pointing out the need for the RSS to reflect the social diversity and goodwill in its services, Jha spoke of the need for the RSS to transform it in accordance with the pluralism adopted in the country. According to him, discussions were being held to disseminate news in those languages having dominance in the province. “The need of the hour for the RSS is to maintain quality in its service and deliver services where everyone could feel ownership in it.” He also viewed that the RSS should increase the number of subscribers so as to discourage unauthorized news as well as to increase its internal resources and thus, he instructed the concerned sides to be active towards it.
