Kathmandu, Dec 18 : An anthology of 31 poems, ‘Mera Beejharu’ (My germs) has been unveiled here Sunday. Penned by engineer Dr Hemnath Ghimire, already the writer of seven books, made public his eighth book amid a programme organized by Padma Kanya Multiple Campus’ Department of Sanskrit, Department of Journalism and Department of Hindi.
The newly launched book has 31 poems penned as prose form. An engineer credited to contribute in constructing 6-km-long bridge over the Padma River in Bangladesh has published poetry in various themes such as patriotism, nature and children literature among others.
In the event on Sunday, littérateur Tulasi Diwas said there is still a need for original creations in Nepali literature. Assistant Professor Gyannistha Gyawali, and Prof Dr Subodh Shukla commended engineer Ghimire’s more than half a dozen of unique literary works to Nepali literature although he was working in a technical sector.
On the occasion, a book written on the life and times of engineer Ghimire was also launched. The book is written by Bhagawati Sharma as a criticism of Ghimire.
