Kathmandu, Feb 17 : The Gorkhapatra Corporation has emerged first in the quiz contest held among the State media on the occasion of the 62nd anniversary of the Rastriya Samachar Samiti (RSS) on Friday.
The quiz contest was organized by the RSS FNJ Chapter. The Gorkhapatra Corporation’s team consisting of Krishna Prasad Bhandari, Bishnu Prasad Pandeya and Rupchandra Bhatta secured the first position in the contest.
Similarly, RSS team comprising Rabin Karki, Om Prakash Bohora and Sita Bhattarai stood second. Moreover, the Nepal Television’s Arjun Kumar Batala, Ganesh Bahadur Dhakal Chhetri and Miradevi Bhandari Adhikari became third while the team from Radio Nepal got consolation.
The Radio Nepal team had the participation of Manisha Acharya, Hari Prasad Panthi and Sabita Khanal. The winners will be conferred the awards amidst the programme being organized on the occasion of RSS 62nd anniversary coming Sunday, according to RSS FNJ chapter chair Pabitra Guragain.
On the occasion, RSS General Manager Siddharaj Rai viewed such activities would foster creativity. Also speaking on the occasion were RSS Deputy General Manager Somnath Lamichhane and RSS Executive Editor Surya Chandra Basnet. They also hoped the event would build harmony among State media and enhance intellect.
FNJ chapter chair Guragain also hoped the quiz contest was organized in a bid to strengthen relations among State media. Various other activities including, chess, yog, and stress management are organized on the RSS anniversary celebration.
