Kathmandu, Feb 15 : The election schedule for the new leadership of All Nepal National Free Students Union (ANNFSU), close to the CPN (UML), has been released.
Chief Election Officer Kumar Prasad Khakurel shared that the election schedule was released on Wednesday.
As per the schedule, the deadline for the filing the nomination was determined till 4:00 pm on Wednesday and withdrawal of candidacy from 6:00 pm to 7:00 pm as namelist of voters would also be published today itself.
Similarly, time for voting has been scheduled from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm on Thursday. ANNFSU Chair Sunita Baral said although election schedule was released, initiative was underway for the consensus.
The ongoing general-convention would elect a 199-member central committee, 17 office-bearers and three commissions for two-year term. Around 1,573 representatives are participating in the general convention.
Arrangement of e-voting has been made to make election process systematic and smooth. The general convention taking place from Tuesday will conclude on Thursday.
