Kathmandu, May 19 (RSS) : Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has said that the constitution amendment proposal would be brought to the parliament very soon to make headway for issuing a new political map of Nepal incorporating Limpiyadhura, Kalapani and Lipulekh areas as well as the national emblem and seal of Nepal.
Responding to the queries of parliamentarians on the government’s policies and programmes for the new fiscal year in today’s meeting of National Assembly, PM Oli reiterated that the constitution amendment proposal relating to the Schedule 3 of the Constitution would be presented in the parliament very soon.
Earlier in today’s House of Representatives’ meeting, PM Oli had mentioned other amendments could be considered while presenting proposal seeking amendment in the Schedule of the country’s national charter.
“The government has issued a new political map which will be publicly available in some days. The incumbent government will now work to bring back the encroached territories,” the Head of the Government assured.
Furthermore, the PM lamented over the boisterous contents doing rounds in the social networking sites lately and questioned, “Where are our values? Can’t we feel satiated unless we call names?”
Pressing for the need to put forward a new concept in the parliamentary practice in the country, he reassuringly said that the incumbent government was effortful to reinvigorate the national economy. He also said that the government was committed to making the country free of street children and stranded persons.
Oli claimed that the country was now made free of tuins and the government would very soon announce achieving cent percent literacy across Nepal. Replacing all the tuins or wired crossings across the country was high in his priority during his first stint as the Head of the Government back in 2015 and during his current second stint, he said the goal has been achieved.
As for the Corona crisis, he cited the big countries also being ravaged by the pandemic and urged preventive measures to be taken. He appealed all the Nepalis to use homemade remedies and organic food items of medicinal properties such as turmeric, garlic, lemon among others to boost immunity at this point of health crisis.
